Local Place Plan accepted by Fife Council

Updated: Nov 5, 2024

After over a year of work, the Community Council's Local Place Plan (LPP) has now been accepted by Fife Council and will now inform their next 10 year plan. To see the Council's Register of LPPs (including ours!) you can view them at https://www.fife.gov.uk/kb/docs/articles/have-your-say2/community-planning/local-place-plans/register-of-local-place-plans.

Our vision is that “St Andrews will use its significant opportunities and assets it has to be a welcoming, thriving, connected and well-integrated town offering a great quality of life and good prospects for everyone who lives, studies, works and visits here.”

In this summary version, we list our priority actions under key themes to realise our vision. They require action by Fife Council, other agencies, local organisations and by the community itself and in many areas funding will need to be secured. In some instances, further feasibility studies are required to see whether and how ideas are viable.

This is our starting point. Please get in touch if you want to help us deliver it.
