Last week, we celebrated a wealth of local talent and volunteering efforts amongst the St Andrews community at our annual civic reception. The reception followed the annual Beating the Retreat procession through the town, led by the brilliant St Andrews Pipe Band.
Attendees enjoyed a fascinating talk by former Ormond Pursuivant of Arms and designer of the Elizabeth Sword - and local resident - Mark Dennis.
Community council Chair, Penelope Fraser, thanked all for coming to the annual event celebrating the winners of the community council's annual competitions - gardening, art, photography and putting. Particular thanks were offered to both Dawn Waddell and Henry Paul, in recognition of the volunteering work both have done and continue to do, for the benefit of the citizens of St Andrews.
